Description
RWAF Approved 8 Inch Rabbit Tunnel
Give your rabbits room to explore, hide and travel between areas of their accommodation with our larger-diameter rabbit tunnel. Choose your length above: 1ft, 2ft, 3ft, 4ft or 6ft.
Check the diameter before you choose
Our 8 inch tunnel measures 200mm externally and 170mm internally. The internal measurement is the space your rabbit moves through. It offers more room than our 6 inch option, whose internal diameter is 135mm. Choose a tunnel that your rabbit can comfortably enter, move through and turn or reverse out of; individual body size matters more than breed labels.
Looking for the smaller size? See our 6 inch rabbit tunnel with 1ft–8ft length options.
Lengths and flexibility
- 1ft and 2ft: short sections with limited flexibility.
- 3ft, 4ft and 6ft: longer sections that can flex to create curved routes.
The diameter stays the same whichever length you choose. The length selector changes the length and price, not the tunnel diameter.
Strong HDPE for indoor and outdoor use
Made from corrugated, perforated High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), our tunnels can be used indoors or outdoors and rinsed clean with water. The corrugated surface gives rabbits grip as they move through.
They can also be buried in suitably well-draining ground. Plan for access, cleaning and inspection, and ensure your complete enclosure remains secure. Perforations allow drainage but cannot prevent flooding where the surrounding ground holds water.
Connect a hutch, house or run
Use our 8 inch Hutch/Run Connector to attach the tunnel to suitable accommodation, or join two 8 inch tunnel sections using our 8 inch removable tunnel connector. Our 8 inch end caps close unused tunnel openings.
Accessories are sold separately. Choose accessories made for the 8 inch diameter.
Rabbit enrichment and care
Our RWAF Approved rabbit tunnels provide another way for rabbits to explore their surroundings. They complement suitable living and exercise space; they do not replace it. Pets Playstore has specialised in rabbit tunnels since 2018.
Inspect your tunnels regularly. HDPE is durable but is not chew-proof. Remove a tunnel if your rabbit starts eating the plastic or if it develops damaged or sharp edges. Prolonged direct sunlight can make plastic more brittle over time.
